CMI needs your help and prayers for Mission Trip

Friends of Children's Ministry International,

HELP!   Most of you know that one of Children's Ministry International's missions is to support worldwide missions.  CMI has been doing the children's program for  regional and international mission groups since the mid-1980's.  Most of the programs have been for the missionary children of Mission to the World (the missionary arm of the PCA).  We have also done trips for Wycliffe Bible Translators, Arab World Ministries and Frontiers Missions.  The kids receive a quality, fun program while their parents are at important meetings.  The children, ages 3 to 12, learn Bible Memory verses, games and songs.  The many outcomes of these conferences includes allowing CMI to expand it's translation programs, of which we have one in Arabic and completed curriculum in Spanish, Swedish, Russian, Bulgarian, Czech and Turkish.  Most of these translation projects came out of such conferences.

This summer we will be using CMI's Series M: THE LORD'S PRAYER.  This popular series will ensure the children know all the petitions of the Lord's Prayer and will appreciate why Jesus had his disciples learn it.  This series on prayer always elicits great feedback to the parents as the children really "get into" the details of this great prayer.

When the parents see how much Scripture their children have learned and how much they have enjoyed learning it, they are naturally interested in getting CMI's "Bible Building Blocks of the Faith" curriculum in the language they are working with.  Missionaries use local nationals to ensure the translations are accurate.

This summer, Arab World Ministries (AWM), has asked us to do the children's program for their international missionary conference.  The details of the European site and date cannot be given for security reasons, but 16 CMI teachers will be going to teach these precious missionary children for a week while their parents are in conference meetings.

As most of you know the price of airfare to get our teachers over there has gone up and our teachers must raise their own travel expenses to get there.  We are expecting travel expenses to be over $15,000!

Being a friend of this small ministry is where you can help.  Could you pray that our teachers will be in "good shape" to teach for a week, that they will be prepared and receive help to defray some of the travel costs?   CMI is a non-profit organization, therefore, your donation would be tax-deductable.

CAN ONE REALLY TEACH CHARACTER?

This ageless question becomes answered in CMI's three volume "Christian Character Curriculum"  Each of the three booklets has about 15 Character qualities.  Each character quality has a biblical definition, visualized Bible verse (for coloring), Bible Stories, Character Chart...so you can record how you see this character quality in others and yourself; and most importantly detailed descriptions of how to demonstrate this character quality in practical, fun exercises and games. 

You can use these booklets in countless ways.  Pick the character quality you are interested in and go from there.  As in all of our materials these lessons can be used over and over again.
