Happy Valentine's Day!
Children's Ministry International thanks our loyal customers and friends for
their support to this small children's ministry over the years....WE LOVE YOU!!
Many of you ask, how we can keep going, doing seminars around the world for
missionary groups (three are already scheduled for 2006), introducing new
material (Volume 3 for our
Christian Character
Curriculum is now available), and presenting seminars to churches about
teacher and parental training? The short answer is God's mercy and your support
in purchasing our fine products and some of you actually contributing to the
ministry of bringing the GOSPEL to children.

1. Christian Character Curriculum Complete:
Yes, now 50 character qualities are ready in three volumes to
have a complete curriculum for your church or home. Each character quality is looked at
through the spectacles of Scripture. Key verses are visualized for copying and
coloring. There is a "Character Chart" for each quality to allow the child and
teacher to see how the student is doing. Each quality has numerous practical
games and exercises to allow the child to see it in their own lives and in the
world around them.
Each volume is only $12.50 and like most (85%) of our products it is reusable,
non-dated and non-graded (multi-years). Just think, your children can see
character qualities such as, courage, endurance, kindness, determination,
and 45 more character qualities. This product could be used in Sunday School,
private clubs, Bible clubs, Sunday Children's Church and many more applications!

2. Easter Series - "IT IS FINISHED" is always popular!
This
Easter Series, "IT IS FINISHED" is only $19.50, but it
gives you an opportunity to "take a break" at Easter time to teach about the
stories of "the Palm Sunday Processional into Jerusalem, the Last Supper,
Betrayal, the Trial, the Crucifixion, the Resurrection and the Ascension". All
in one book, with hold up color pictures (not flannelboard). Like all CMI
products the Easter Series is non-consumable, non-dated (your schedule- use four
weeks, two or one--as many busy churches do).
Children want to learn why Easter is so special for Christians--indeed every
Sunday we celebrate Christ's Resurrection. Your children will want to see and
hear this story every Easter!

3. Is CMI coming to your church soon?
Did you know that our popular "TEACHING TEACHERS TO TEACH"
and "COVENANT PARENTING" Conferences are available to you? Often we do a
"hybrid" and do some of both for the requesting group. We will fine tune the
workshops to fit the church's particular needs. Maybe you're trying to promote
"family worship/devotions" and don't know where to start...we can get you
going. Maybe your teachers need a boost in enthusiasm and motivation to reach
their children. Maybe your parents need encouragement on their parental
responsibilities and discipline. The range of topics is endless.
Visit our web page for more information about our conferences. Also go to the "Articles"
button below, or on our home page where there are numerous articles about
children that would lend themselves well to your conference needs.
4. Why use the Flannelboard anymore?
Maybe many of you grew up like I did with lots of flannel board
lessons, but now you are sure this is something out of the dark past no longer
relevant for today. Well, I would disagree. While about half of CMI's material
is flannelboard based we have not moved to other forms of instruction for the
following reasons:
A. Kids love to see what they are learning.
B. The flannel board helps in review. Without review the concepts are
quickly lost.
C. The kids love to help put the symbols up correctly, which under
girds the memory process. You can have the students put them up for a review.
D. When a theological concept like the Trinity or Justification is
visualized the child and adult can usually grasp it quicker.
E. The more vivid and colorful the flannel board symbols are the
easier it is to get the kids to recall what they have learned.
F. The flannel board helps the teacher not be tied down to the text.
There is nothing as boring as teachers reading extended lessons or even the
Bible. By putting the flannel board symbols up the teacher is reminded what
they are teaching and it adds eye contact with the students. Teachers can
literally teach to the visuals (they must have already reviewed the materials,
of course).
G. When you "mix-up" the visuals on the flannel board, the kids will
normally "catch-it" and want to set it right.
H. When doing memory work, the kids will remember where and what the
symbols were on the flannel board and it helps them memorize it. Its
interesting to watch kids study an empty flannel board as they recite the memory
verse or the question and answer.
So the flannel board is an effective method of teaching. It is multi-sensory:
sight, sound (reading aloud what is on the board- and teaching to it) and feel
(having the kids put up the symbols or arrange them correctly if the teacher has
mixed them up).
For the children,
