How Do You Know Your Young Students Have Really Learned Anything?

Every year your church, Bible study group, or you as a parent, have invested a lot of money and time in getting a curriculum you think think will teach your children the basics. But how do you know they will retain it beyond the period you teach it. Sadly, most children can't really recall what they have learned the week after they've been presented even the best of lessons.
